After toppling Tony Abbott late Monday night, Malcolm Turnbull was sworn in as the 29th prime minister of Australia. But no-one really cared because we were too busy swooning over his adorable grandson.
Australia, meet Jack Turnbull-Brown.
He's Malcolm Turnbull's first grandchild, and the son of Turnbull's daughter Daisy and her husband James Brown.
Australia first got a glimpse of the little dude when his dad James tweeted this picture.
Nearly two years later, his grandfather was taking the oath of office, and you could hear little Jack in the background laughing and singing to himself.
And it didn't go unnoticed.
Then he raced out of the door into his grandfather's arms and even the most hardened political cynics did a bit of a squee.
After a cruel, ruthless 24 hours in parliament, the press gallery journalists were ready for some cuteness.
It was hard to get our priorities straight.
As with any new celebrity thrust into the public spotlight, there was bound to be critique of his fashion choices. Luckily he passed with flying (neutral) colours.
Some even started making comparisons to other famous toddlers.
Prince George has done wonders for the popularity for the monarchy, so we'll just have to wait and see if Jack can do the same for his famous republican grandfather.
