17 Things To Remember For The "Sleepy Hollow" Season Premiere

"Everyone Is Related And Also Possibly Dead: The TV Show"

1. Recall that the Headless Horseman is only one-fourth of the problem in this incarnation of the Sleepy Hollow legend.

Headless is not only the horseman from Washington Irving's classic story, he's also one of the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse from Biblical lore. Headless is the Horseman of Death.

2. Headless is also the reanimated body of Abraham, Ichabod's ex best friend and former suitor of Katrina, Ichabod's wife.

Yep, that's the same dude. Figures that Ichabod personally knows Headless. He apparently knows everybody from his time period.

10. Henry/Jeremy then traded his mother to the Headless Horseman (see how that love triangle came full circle?) in exchange for a seal of the apocalypse.

11. Because Henry/Jeremy also happens to be the Horseman of War.

The demon Moloch raised him from the grave to be one of his four minions. No word on who the horsemen of Famine and Pestilence are IRL, but I'd put my money on Ichabod's gardener and his cat, respectively.

13. Actually, Jenny discovered The Plot Twist before everyone else, and was (maybe) taken out by the Headless Horseman before she could tell anybody.

The horseman had a big-ass gun. Who gave this guy a gun? Somebody call Irving!

14. Shit, Captain Irving confessed to double homicide and is in custody.

FOX / Via hulu.com

He's taking the fall for his daughter, who was possessed by a demon and killed two people.

What about Andy? He's occasionally helpful...

16. Now that Henry broke the second Seal of the Apocalypse, he has the power to call his Horseman bros together and bring about a demonic war that will end the world as we know it.
