1. The friendship between Scott and Stiles is stronger than ever

We've always seen Stiles support and help Scott in his times of need, and it's great to see Stiles be the one that needs help and to watch as Scott jumps to his aid.

2. Speaking of...STILES

Since the beginning of the show, Stiles has been the comedic relief. Dylan O'Brien nailed every line he had and pretty much stole the scenes, quickly becoming a fan (and personal) favorite. Seeing him take a darker turn this season (no spoilers) has been such a treat. Dylan's acting is absolutely character and it's great to see him and the writers taking a risk! All of the feels. All of them.

3. You never know what to expect

When you start explaining Teen Wolf to someone they think they know what you'll tell them. I mean, it's a show about werewolves. But it's always been pulling new stuff out there: the Kanima, the Alpha Pack, Banshees, oh my! The addition of the Japanese mythology this season adds another level of intricacy to the Beacon Hills universe and keeps the audience on their toes! *Round of applause*

4. The adults are in on the supernatural fun!

So Papa Argent and Deaton have known about everything going on in Beacon Hills from the beginning, but now that Mama McCall and Sheriff Stilinski know, they can join the ragtag group of teenagers/supernatural creatures on their adventures. Of course, this also means that they're in more danger...but doesn't that just add to the suspense?

5. Derek's back and is useful again

I've always been a little bothered by Derek's constant brooding, not that it was unwarranted, it's just a really boring thing to watch. It was excusable in Season 1 when he acted as Scott's temperamental mentor, but since then I've always wanted to see more from him. After the issue with Jennifer in the first half of the season, I was worried that he'd come back even broodier, but it seems like he's going to go back to the Derek we knew and could potentially love. Even if he's not the alpha anymore.

6. More Isaac!

Straight-up: Daniel Sharman is beautiful and Isaac's character has been heartbreak after heartbreak since he was introduced. Now that the show's got a new character to pick on (sorry Stiles babe) Isaac gets to be funnyish and pretty baller. And live with Scott.

7. The twins get personalities

We got so many new characters in the first half of the season with the introduction of the Alpha pack, but Aiden and Ethan made quite a splash. Their relationships were adorable (Lydia with Aiden and Danny with Ethan definitely helped draw attention away from whatever was almost going on with Allison and Scott) but otherwise their purposes were pretty unclear. Now that their pack is gone and they've more or less given up on following Scott around like puppies (or whelps) they're gonna have to do something new and I, for one, can't wait. Plus Max and Charlie Carver seem like delights.

Basically, this show never lets up on suspense, gives the characters some incredible arcs, is not afraid to hurt character you love, and is full of hot dudes (and ladies). What's not to love?
