13 Reactions I Had While Watching The Colombian Remake Of "Breaking Bad"

"Yo no estoy en peligro. El peligro soy yo."

For the last year I've been attempting to learn Spanish via Rosetta Stone. However, knowing the proper vocabulary for an assortment of fruits, numbers, and animal sounds and nothing about using pronouns as objects of prepositions, I decided to immerse myself in the environment of the language...

...by watching the Spanish-language adaption of Vince Gilligan's magnum opus, Breaking Bad.

The show, called Metastasis, is a scene-for-scene remake of the critically-acclaimed crime drama, this time set in the Colombian capital of Bogotá following the aptly named protagonist, Walter Blanco.

...and of course, because learning is fruitless without participation, I live-tweeted the whole experience.

    1. "His Name is Walter Blanco."

    2. "YES! The tighty-whities made the cut!"

    3. "How's Walt supposed to sell meth to the Mexican drug cartels if he's already in Mexico?"

    4. "I stand corrected. We're in Colombia."

    5. "The meth lab in the school bus makes it way...meth labbier"

    6. "Did you understand what I've just said to you?"

    7. "Welp, the handy-j is still awkward."

    8. "Wait a second...I don't want to alarm anyone, but I think I may be a genius."

    9. "Whoa whoa WHOA! Saul BUENO!?"

    10. "They changed Hank's name to "Henry?""

    11. "The Jesse Pinkman surrogate looks less like a drug dealer and more like a Calvin Klein model."

    12. "This really looks like a Breaking Bad parody porno without the nudity."

    13. "So when José and Walter go to America, will all the shots be tinted orange?"

    "Yo soy el que toca."
