After much awaited hype, Lamar's new album To Pimp A Butterfly was released a week early from it's expected March 23rd date. Not complaining though, this track takes some heavy dialogue in the hook ("Everybody wanna cut the legs off him/Black man taking no losses") but delivers a punchy beat in the background. Listen to it here.

You've heard her sing alongside Drake and Childish Gambino, now the singer/songwriter has her own mixtape out titled, Sailing Souls. This track not only showcases her authenticity as an artist, but also as an insecure bi-racial girl amidst the mainstream.

Grimes singer, Claire Boucher, announced this track wasn't going to make the new album, but it doesn't mean it's not brilliant. 6. Toro Y Moi - "Empty Nesters"

Speaking of psychedelic, Toro Y Moi considers his new album, What For?, to be his biggest experiment yet, steering away from the R&B electronica that can be found in his former albums. This track is the ideal backdrop for laying outside in the sun, if you're so inclined.

7. Theophilus London - "Do Girls"
