Graduation time is just around the corner. You think you will land a great job, get a nice flat, party hard and life will be oh soo beautiful! HA. Think again!

1. No more Student Oyster Card

Since you are no longer a student, you are no longer entitled to a student Oyster Card.

It is now time to grow up and pay the full fare of every single one of you journeys!

2. No More Student Discounts

Remember those good all times, where you could get 10% off at Asos through Unidays? Now that small but all important percentage disappears into the universe. Oh and also, If you didn't manage to buy a Macbook while in Uni, you should probably start forgetting about it now.

3. Student Loans - Time to pay up

You start getting a couple of letters in the post reminding something you have forgotten.

That you owe shit loads of money to the government, for all those student loans.

Time to pay up!

4. No job opportunities

You sign up for all those tuition fee loans thinking university is an investment.

Getting a degree will help you get a good job.

Well unfortunately, this is not the case here.

No matter how hard you try, no matter how many job applications you complete, people will still think you are not experienced enough.

5. Work experience

Time to find that all important experience that you will help you get that all important job.

You turn to work experience, internships and placements, where you soon realise that you basically work like crazy for no money at all.

6. Graduate Schemes

You hear things about graduates getting paid a lot more than average, and you ask around and people tell you about graduate schemes and then you google it.

And then you start hating yourself and everyone of your friends that managed to get into a graduate scheme.

7. Minimum wage

Congratulations!

You worked your derrière off in those internships and you managed to land a job!

Yay! Time to partyyyy!

But then you realise that you are getting paid minimum wage.

and then the party stops and you ask yourself why?

8. Council Tax

And then the bills kick in!

With the all time favourite council tax, which will set you back a couple of British pounds every month.

And no there isn't a way not to pay it!

DON'T GIVE UP

Life after uni seems a massive struggle but as Cheryl would say: "It might be the greyest, darkest day you've seen. But beyond those clouds the sun is ALWAYS shining".

Keep working, keep walking and one day, hopefully in the near future, all your struggles would have paid off!
