Kim Potter, the former officer who shot Daunte, was arrested and charged with second-degree manslaughter yesterday before she was released hours later after posting a $100,000 bond. Daunte's death in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota has reignited Black Lives Matter protesters who await news in the Derek Chauvin trial – the story of another local and former police officer who fatally knelt on George Floyd's neck just a few miles away from where Daunte was shot.
