1. You've graduated and have now joined the pool of job candidates.
2. You start out the process with an optimistic attitude.
3. Typing out your resume and saving it in various file forms is crucial.
4. As is updating your LinkedIn profile and looking for people to add to your network.
5. You soon learn that, for a lot of entry-level positions, companies either require some level of experience.
6. You also start to realize how tedious it is to write cover letters for each application.
7. The process seems to take even longer because application formats differ from company to company.
8. After getting through a couple of initial phone calls, you print out a few copies of your resume to always be ready.
9. You build up your confidence before an interview by learning all about the company, preparing answers and coming up with stand out questions to ask your interviewer.
10. It's important to remind your roommates of when you are having a Skype interview so they don't make any random background noises or cameos.
11. Scheduling phone calls and interviews while also searching for new openings makes you realize that looking for a job is a full-time job of its own.
12. Once you've scheduled an in-person interview, you pick out outfit and spend a ton of time getting ready so you can look your best.
13. The concept of being under or overdressed for your interview makes you wig out a little bit.
14. Some interviews end up being cringe-worthy meetings where both you and the interviewer know it's not going well.
15. You start to dread conversations in which people ask about your job search...
16. ...and begin to question whether all that time and money spent in school were worth it.
17. The added stress of imminent financial responsibility makes you panic.
18. You feel really happy for the friend that landed their dream job but secretly start to feel inadequate.
19. You consider applying to jobs that have nothing to do with your degree or the positions you were originally searching for.
20. Even though you start to lose hope, you find some wisdom that helps to put you back on track.
21. With your newfound determination, you go through the process again believing you'll find success.
22. And eventually, with a little patience, things do start to come together.
