This Teen's Parents Used An Incredible Trick To Make Her And Her Brother Wash When She Was Little

Possibly going too far.

Now you might be wondering what that mushroom's doing there.

And the reason is this. Her parents used to tell Abby and her brother that they used to have another brother who turned into a mushroom because he didn't take a bath.

And they even added him to the family albums.

And it worked. It worked. Abby told BuzzFeed News:

"They would sneak mushroom slides into family slideshows and I remember my brother turning to my parents and saying 'I believe you now..' Haha."

This was one of a whole bunch of tricks: "Another trick they'd use to get me to behave and clean my room was in the news there was a local little girl who won some award for the chickens they raised on their farm and was really well behaved. My parents used to say 'Abby if you don't clean your room or behave we are going to exchange you for the chicken girl!'"
