15 Reasons To Start A Daily Journal

If you can make a commitment to watching Parks and Rec every night, you can make a commitment to jotting down some thoughts as well

    Still not convinced?

    1. Get In Touch With Yourself

    2. Get More Organized

    3. Get More Followers

    I mean look at this!

    Talk about #notebookporn

Wait omg I hope no one has coined the term #notebookporn yet. I CALL IT!

Because this is so aesthetically pleasing it hurts

Doesn't this make you want to write?

Not to mention all the cool people do it. Just look at Kurt Cobain's journal!

Even Marilyn Monroe got a little journal action!

So obviously by now you've started rummaging for a journal. So what now?

    1. Buy something that fits you! Some people like structured journals with questions or daily prompts while others (like yours truly) like the freedom of a blank page. You can get a journal with a cool cover or make your own with stickers; either way make sure it reflects you!

    2. Don't be intimidated. You saw some great #notebookporn today, which can be a little overwhelming. The most important thing to remember is that you are doing this for YOU. So what if your journal isn't as beautiful as the ones you see on Tumblr? It's about expressing yourself and that's beautiful all by itself!

    3. Don't limit or second guess yourself. Write it all down. Don't think about "this is weird." Even if you write something or draw something and don't like it, don't cross it out. You never know what can become amazing later in life if you give it the chance.
