Do you ever wonder what happened to the cast of Under the Umbrella Tree? We've been waiting under the tree for a few years now hoping to run into the cast members. After many sunny days, and days filled with thunder, we were finally able to catch up with them.

Iggy Iguana

Ignatz "Iggy" Iguana retired from acting shortly after Under The Umbrella Tree wrapped up. Prior to his retirement, he auditioned for a Budweiser commercial and got a second call back, but was eventually turned down for three frogs.

He later fled to Arizona to start a new life and live with his uncle Rod Iguana. Iggy played for the Arizona Cardinals for three years before leaving the team siting "personal reasons"

He has since opened up a successful poetry cafe in the town of Sedona Arizona. It was there that he met his current life-partner Jim.

The two of them can be now be found on weekends preforming in their iguana duo called "The Iggys".

Jacob Bluejay

Realizing he could never actually create any useful inventions, Jacob Bluejay went on to have a successful career in the infomercial industry. During the early 90's Jacob could be seen on billboards, magazines, and on late-night tv.

His luck ran out in the early millennium during the dot com bubble and was eventually left homeless, dependant on alcohol and working as a part-time mascot for the Toronto Blue Jays.

He eventually completed a 12-step program and reclaimed his success with the invention of an iPhone app called Angry Birds.

He now resides in Oakville Ontario in the Niagara Escarpment.

Gloria Gopher

Gloria Gopher, who was always known as bit of a tomboy, went on to join the Canadian roller derby circuit. She toured the country with the Toronto based team Chicks Ahoy! and helped them win their first championship title.

A few years later, Gloria relocated to Ottawa and became the head of the National Action Committee on the Status of Women and advocated for equal woman's rights. She was perhaps best known for pioneering the fight on equal wages in the workplace.

Gloria has since completed the bar exam and is the principal at her Kingston based law firm Gloria Gopher & Associates.

Holly Higgins (Holly Larocque)

After UTUT, Holly (who was nominated for a daytime Emmy Award for her work on Under the Umbrella Tree) was known to make cameo appearances on Fred Penner's Place and starred in her own CBC specials such as Christmas Holly, and Holly Larocque: It's About Time.

She later went on to become the host of the TV show Homes by Design from 1999-2001.

From 2005-2006 Holly toured in The Big Band Broadcast starring Holly Larocque and the Mark Ferguson Orchestra.

Her website is not currently up to date and no-other information was easily found at time of writing - leading us to believe she has gone into hiatus.

Louis Bird

Louis Bird has not been seen since the shows series finale. Calls to his agent have continuously been ignored.

Recent suspected sighting by fans have been reported in Reno Nevada and Atlantic City New Jersey.

It indeed appears as if Louis Bird fell victim to the curse of child actors.

A shame indeed.
