Before we start, there are some discount cards available to students in the UK.

The most common one is the NUS card. This is free.

There's also the ISIC (the International Student Identity Card). This costs £12 for a year, and has access to discounts around the world.

The third is the NUS Extra card, which costs £12 a year, includes a one-year free ISIC, and has access to lots of entertainment discounts – such as cinemas and restaurants in the UK.

There are also discounts through external sites like Unidays and Student Beans. With these sites, you log in with your student email address and generate a code.
