1. Get you a multiple product that really can do it all.

If you're buying a 3-in-1 product, then I think you shouldn't try to get the cheapest one. Buy one mid-range thing that does three things well, and you'll save money. In that case, may I recommend Nars: The Multiple. It's easy to wear, and incredible as a highlighter, blusher, eyeshadow, and lipstick – and comes in a large variety of colours.

Get the full size from Space NK, £29, and if you just want to dip your toe in the water, Nars is selling travel sizes on Amazon, £11.95

2. Reclaim a morning shower and still have time left over with a powerful hairdryer.

A decent hairdryer is worth investing in – if you take care of it, it should last for a long time. I last bought a hairdryer four years ago, and it's still holding up, despite daily use. In terms of which to choose, it depends on your hair type, but this Wazor model has loads of five-star reviews, comes with a two-year warranty, and is currently on sale.

3. Swipe off mascara smudges with presoaked cotton buds.

These cotton buds come soaked with a gentle mascara remover that – bonus! – hasn't been tested on animals. There are 24 buds, double-edged, so you'll get a month out of them easily.

4. Make brushing your hair a breeze with a brush that is formatted to get through tangles with ease.

The Wet Brush is a dream if your hair is fine but gets knotty. Speaking from personal experience, it's also really gentle if you have a sensitive scalp. Time spent carefully getting the tangles out of your hair = halved.

6. Get rid of chipped nail varnish in an instant with Little Ondine.

IDK, maybe chipped nail varnish doesn't bother you – but it drives me up the wall. More than once, I've hopped around the house, running late, trying to find nail varnish remover before I go to work. Anyway, this brand is peel-off, meaning you could even remove it as you wait for the bus (sorry if that grosses you out).

7. Fleek your brows on the go with a 2-in-1 gel pen.

Pixi knows its brows, and its clever gel pen means that you can shape *and* add colour at the same time. Also, if you're one to do your brows during your bus/train journey to work, you won't need to try to hang on to a brush while in transit.
