You're Stuck Inside The Giant Parachute In Gym Class – Can You Get Out?

All you see is darkness. It's only you under here. You don't know how this happened.

The Start!

You feel around. All you feel is parachute. You hear muffled voices, but no one is coming for you. The gym floor is dirty.

Where is the outside?

"Help," you say. The voices sound further away now. Is gym over?

Ask for help

Even standing at your full height, the parachute blocks out all light around you.

Stand up

The hard gym floor hurts your knees. Ow, ow, ow. Where is the edge? 

Crawl

Turn around and around

You are not successful. You don't have a handle to hold onto, so the parachute won't pop. It simply floats up for a second and then floats back down. You are still inside.

Pop the parachute up

Your life has taken an unexpected turn. This parachute is now your home.

You live in the parachute now

Every house must be filled with food. But you live in an empty parachute on a gym floor. 

You're hungry

Are the balls still around or underneath the parachute? Perhaps there might be one on top of the parachute?

Wait...we were popping a bunch of foam balls around on the parachute earlier.

You crawl around in concentric circles, reaching your hands out to feel for anything in your path. 

Crawl around, feeling for any foam balls

You carefully stand up and put your arms out. You feel around. You have to be careful. If a ball is resting on top of the parachute, it might roll down and off the parachute, out of your reach.

Stand up and carefully walk around, feeling the parachute for any foam balls

In your fourth circle, you feel something round and soft. It's a foam ball! Because you cannot see, your other senses are heightened. You can tell it's the small yellow ball.

A ball!

You're hungrier now, knowing there's nothing at all you can consume. 

You feel nothing

You can't make out what the voice is saying. It is approaching you. You say, "Help, help! I'm trapped in the parachute!"

You hear a voice

You tear into the ball. It is disgusting. The outer layer is unforgiving. The foam is bitter. It is all you have. You did not eat the school lunch today because it was meatloaf. Now you wish you had.

Eat the ball

The parachute begins to lift from one side, and suddenly the gym floor and underside of the parachute flood with fluorescent light. It's dim but your eyes quickly adjust. You crawl towards the light.

Light

The foam...is...expanding...in your stomach...

You feel...sick

Sleep the pain off. Will there be another gym class next period? What time is it? Will you miss the bus? You drift off and dream of foam.

Take a nap

You roll around until the parachute has completely enveloped you. You're even more trapped, because you're inside the very middle of the parachute roll, like a burrito.

Roll the the parachute around you like a cocoon

Roll...roll...roll...it's a struggle. You have to thrust yourself forward with the added weight of the parachute. You don't know if you're going in the right direction. Time passes. It feels like hours. You hear nothing around you but the swishing of the parachute.

Try to roll to the other side of the gym

You hit a wall

You struggle to escape from your parachute prison. It is the fight of your life. You are Leo DiCaprio in "The Revenant" fighting the bear.

Unroll yourself

You open your eyes. They adjust to the light, and you realize you're in a classroom – the Spanish classroom. You rolled all the way out of the gym and into Spanish. You don't take Spanish. You're scared. Everyone is looking at you. The Spanish teacher points to you and begins teaching the students how to say 'parachute' in Spanish. You run out of the classroom. You run out of school. You never come back.

Tumble out of the parachute

You stand up and wipe the dust from the gym floor off your shorts. Who has rescued you? You look up and see a janitor. "What are you doing?" he asks. "I got trapped," you say. Then you leave.

Exit the parachute

You wake up
