    About 30 years ago, Coca-cola made the life altering choice to make coke in the states with high fructose corn syrup instead of its previous recipe where good ol’ sugar was supreme.

    While this cultural event made the beverage more affordable, it was not a change that extended well past the borders of the United States. Other countries such as our neighbor Mexico still use real sugar to sweeten their coke. And here lies the debate. Which recipe is better? American Coca-cola with its high fructose corn syrup or Mexican Cola, due to its real sugar content.
