7 Sweet Study Spots On Campus

Maybe you've already found your perfect study spot but need ideas for where to go on different occasions, or perhaps you're still trying to find that perfect study corner. Here are some tips from the Academic Grievance Centre. Hope these help and happy studying!

1. Relaxed/ Studying with a buddy - Cogro

Cogro's a great place to study if you don't mind background chatter. With the new seating you should be sure to find a seat - grab a bite and enjoy!

2. Group Study - MacCorry

Queen's University / Via queensu.ca

Find an empty classroom in Mac Corry, making use of the chalkboard or projector is a great way to help each other learn!

3. Between class - Biosciences complex or the JDUC

Class Find / Via img.classfind.com

Between classes looking for a place to snack and study? Biosci and the JDUC are both great places to grab a snack and sit down to get work done

4. Study in Silence - Douglas Library

Queen's Libraries / Via library.queensu.ca

A great library to go to if you're looking to get work done in a quiet area and it's usually easy to find seats!

5. Studying for the whole day - Stauffer library

Library Queen's / Via library.queensu.ca

Stauffer is a great place to go for silent studying, especially if you're committing to sit for a long period of time. If you're worried about finding a seat, be sure to check how full it is on the Queen's library website before you go!

6. Comfy & Silent Study - Bracken Library

Via library.queensu.ca

Bracken is a great quiet place to study with lots of comfy seats, there's also Botterell Hall downstairs to get snacks and food on weekdays!

7. Relaxed Study - The Tea Room

Queen's Engineering / Via engineering.queensu.ca

Find a seat and get cozy and study or just pick up a delicious tea/snack to-go. The Tea Room is located in Beamish-Munro Hall and is a carbon-neutral café!
