Who The Hell Is Letting These People Be Adoptive Parents?

How does one decide to "rehome" their adopted kids after spending literally tens of thousands of dollars to get them? How do these adoptive parents treat their adopted kids as though they're commodity that can be bought and discarded like cheap dolls from the dollar store? What kind of agency decides these adults are worthy to be called parents? And why the H-E-Double-Toothpick are lawmakers not making this disgusting "rehoming" practice illegal? WTF. Seriously. The following people have walked away from their children and haven't received a slap on the wrist, even though they deserve way more.

Joyce Maynard

Yes. That Joyce Maynard. She adopted and made a HUGE deal about it. But surprise! The kids are now gone, and she's now a newly wed. Kids, it appears, are not good for romance. Don't be surprised if she writes a book about it and it will most certainly be about her and her only.

"When I said goodbye to them, they could not even look at me anymore, and I do understand that because I'm a lot older than they are. And that's part of what I needed to recognize, that they had to absolutely let me go. And I needed to let them know that I loved and cared about them - it wasn't hard for me to say that - but not to keep that string connected that was only going to tug them back. The Conners

Their story was recently published, and their story is perhaps the whiniest, narcissistic load of poo you've ever seen. Seriously. How are they now foster parents??!!

Conner's therapist warned her that J likely wouldn't weep or protest when he left. Indeed, he just walked away (and by all accounts is thriving with his new family). "I was cut apart," Conner says. And don't even get us start on the mother's Facebook page (see header/thumbnail image), which is public and cries out, "Look at me! I'm a victim! Oooh! Look at this lovely story about me, me, me!"

The Dittenbers

Multiple times. That's right. This couple "rehomed" their adopted daughter Nita multiple times, the last time into the home of a family with a father who is being tried for sexually abusing and raping his daughters. WTF. The adoptee's adoptive aunt has said:

"I said, 'Oh my God! All the puzzle pieces are coming into focus... I realized she had been re-homed the way you re-home a pet."

And how did this couple "advertise" Nita for "rehoming"?

"It was the first of several times Michelle offered Nita on the Yahoo group. In her posts, Michelle portrayed Nita as a "bully" with an "attitude of entitlement." The girl "lies" and is "manipulative," she wrote, but "does love little kids very much" and has "a soft spot for elderly people as well."" Apparently the couple now regrets "rehoming" Nita. Perhaps because the public now see them as the horrible human beings they truly are?
