Princess Charlotte On Her First Day Of School Is The Cutest Thing You Need To See Today

The princess arrived for her first day of reception flanked by her parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

So summer is officially over, and the end of the season marks the return to school for British children. For one little royal, it also means the start of something new.

Yes, Britain’s Princess Charlotte made her debut this morning for her first day of school, as the the 4-year-old joined her big brother, Prince George, at Thomas’s Battersea in South London.

The princess arrived for her first day of reception flanked by her parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who escorted their two children to class.

Luckily, the princess will know at least one other person in the school, as she joins her 6-year-old big brother, and she gets a sweet little sibling discount of £124 on her fees.

Dressed in her navy blue uniform with red accents and the school’s crest — a red unicorn reading a book — she looked absolutely adorable.

The usually scene-stealing royal initially appeared shy on entrance, but she seemed much more comfortable as the royal family were met by Helen Haslem, head of the lower school, who greeted Princess Charlotte with a handshake.

Dad Prince William revealed that Charlotte was “very excited”.

The milestone moment was marked with a tweet from the Kensington Palace account, which captured the moment they walked in.

It feels like just the other day we were “awwing” at her baby pictures, and now she’s off into the big world.
