Did Dunkin' beat out Starbucks for the refresher crown?

Hi! I'm Abigail, and I am an avid tea and refresher drinker, and absolutely adore the refreshers at Starbucks, so when I saw them at Dunkin' Donuts, I thought I HAD to give them a try!

Dunkin' Donuts offers two flavors of refreshers Strawberry Dragonfruit, and Peach Passionfruit. Both of them are made with green tea, flavored fruit concentrate, and B vitamins. Each beverage has under two hundred calories, and you can get a medium of either flavor for 2$ EVERY day!

The strawberry dragonfruit flavor has eighty calories for a small, one hundred and thirty for a medium, and one seventy for a large.

The ingredients include Brewed Green Tea; Strawberry Dragonfruit Flavored Concentrate: Water, Sugar, Natural Flavors, Citric Acid, Green Tea Extract, Vegetable Juice for Color, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), D-Calcium Pantothenate (Vitamin B5), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12), according to the Dunkin' Donuts website.

At first taste, I was surprised, I could taste both the strawberry and dragonfruit flavor super well, but even more surprisingly the dragonfruit flavor was MORE prominent, which I really enjoyed. The refresher was sweet, but not overwhelmingly so, and overall extremely enjoyable. It was pleasantly sippable, and made me wish I was sitting on a warm beach drinking it with friends.

Overall, I would rate this one a 9/10. It was definitely pretty great, and I drank the entire thing without even thinking twice. The dragonfruit flavor was incredible, but the strawberry flavor was a tad light, and I couldn't help but wish for the little chunks of fruit, similar to Starbucks to add a bit of texture to the very thin liquid.

Would I reccomend it to a friend?

Yes! I would totally recommend this one to anyone who enjoys the refreshers at Starbucks. It is definitely worth the try, and is a cheaper alternative with very similar flavors!

Before I tried this flavor I was very skeptical. Even though I love peach, I'm not a huge fan of passionfruit, at ALL. So I was a bit worried to say the least. At first taste, I was definitely surprised, the passionfruit taste was extremely strong, and really punched you in the face with flavor, which was extremely jarring. Then the peach flavor was extremely subtle, and read more of an aftertaste to me. This drink was one that definitely got better as it was watered down (due to ice) and the longer I let it melt, the more tolerable the flavor got.

Overall, I would rate this one a 5/10. The taste was a bit jarring, and I had to encourage myself to take more sips of it. It wasn't awful, just not something I would order again. But, it would be perfect for someone who loves passionfruit!

Would I suggest it to a friend?

Yes. Even though I didn't love it, my sister really liked it. The flavors are truly up to personal preference, so some people may hate the flavor I love, and love the flavor I didn't like. So, it couldn't hurt to try it!

Overall, I would definetly encourage anyone to try the new refreshers. Even though I didn't love the peach passionfruit, the strawberry dragonfruit blew my mind, and totally took the crown for my fav of the Dunkin' Donuts refreshers! But Starbucks refreshers will always have my heart.
