New York hip-hop artist Lanz Pierce has been busy. She headlined at ACL 2015, released her latest album, Editors Eye, and just returned from a tour with Snoop Dogg. In between some swift beats, we asked her five questions...

1. What are your favorite person, places or things about Austin?
It was my first time to Texas and I loved experiencing Austin. My favorite part was the weather, and the people just give off a warmth that's really welcoming. The BBQ was a plus, too. It's also a much different pace than New York.

2. Who are the artists that you're looking to see and hear at ACL this weekend?
I saw mostly everyone I wanted to. I checked out Twenty One Pilots, Drake, Future--he killed it! I also was digging Billy Idol, G-Eazy, and Halsey.

3. What did you want to be when you were little?
A musician, a movie star, or an astronaut.

4. If you couldn't be a performer, what would you be doing right now?
I can't see myself doing anything other than creating. So, it would have to just be through a different medium. Writing songs or scripts...or maybe just directing and acting.

5. Favorite curse word or substitution for a curse word?
Fuck--that word just sums up all the good and bad emotions with a punch. I'm not really into substitutions; it's either the real thing or nothing.
