The promise of working in a fun and fast-paced environment! Working alongside great individuals! Being able to offer great customer service! Ahhhh, the joys of working in retail...however, the thrill wears out pretty quickly. Here are 19 ways you can tell that you've worked in retail too long.

1. Your fake smiles when greeting customers become more and more fake as time goes by

2. You become increasingly aware that your customers are idiots because you are the only one who knows how to read and interpret sale signs

3. The word "inventory" sends you into a frenzy of fear

4. A credit card? What are those and why do I need to sign people up for them?

5. You have absolutely no filter left for customer rudeness, but you've been there for so long, why rock the boat?

6. Speaking of rudness, when customers come to you complaining about another employee's attitude, you fake sympathy because more than likely you deserved it

7. You've mastered the art of agreeing with customer choices in merchandise, no matter how hideous it is, because it keeps you in a job
