Music Legends

Known for a long, long list of hits including 'Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)', 'There Must Be An Angel (Playing with my Heart)' and 'Thorn In My Side', the Eurythmics were one of the defining acts of the 80's. The band went from strength to strength, selling over 75 millions records and changing the musical landscape forever with their Avant-garde looks and envelope-pushing music.

Later collaborations

Aside from a 'Greatest Hits' in 2005 and a collaboration at the Grammy's in 2014, the pair have largely focused on their successful solo careers since the last Eurythmics studio album was released way back in 1999. However, that could all be about to change.

In this video posted today on Dave Stewart's Facebook page, Annie Lennox plays piano in a studio as Stewart and potential producer look on. Although we don't know the exact details of the collaboration; Stewarts caption, "Just like old Times @officialannielennox ❤️🎶🔥", confirms that this is indeed new footage.

Reunion "definitely will happen"

It might not come as a complete surprise to avid fans as Stewart has promised an eventual reunion multiple times over the years. Speaking to BBC newsnight last month Stewart insisted a future reunion would happen saying, "I think, Annie and I will be joined at the hip forever, we’re bound to do something and in what shape or form it might be, we don’t know, but I would say we definitely will".

It just might be coming sooner than we think.

Catalyst for collaboration

One potential catalyst for this new collaboration could be the bands recent nomination for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Speaking to Sirius XM Radio, Annie Lennox said, "We’ve been making music since the 70’s and its quite a few decades now. It would be lovely thing to be entered into the hall of fame but it’s lovely to be nominated and to be amongst this quite extraordinary list of 18 other people".
