You know for a FACT that everyone in theatre is gay.
That being said, it's easier to have a kissing scene knowing neither of you will ever be attracted to the other.
And yet people refuse to give you the lead because they think you'll be uncomfortable kissing a guy.
So then the directors give you the part that kisses another girl.
Up until recently, there were almost no lesbian roles in any sort of musical.
It's even harder when you're a lesbian that's not black or white.
So as of now there are four musicals that show an accurate depiction of lesbians, and TEN TIMES MORE MUSICALS ABOUT GAY MEN!!!
This may be one of the reasons for the stereotype of gays and lesbians hating each other.
When telling someone you're a thespian and they hear lesbian
You are CONVINCED that Glinda and Elphaba had the hots for each other and you will defend this ship with your life!
Sometimes you wanna give up on live theatre and go for the movies and TV
But all in all, you're proud of being a lesbian thespian, and you wouldn't change it for the world.
