The effectiveness of Disney Channel shows were defined by the quality of the siblings. Here's a list ranking the best siblings from top to bottom.

The hallmark of a great Disney Channel show, was always the siblings. While the main character had to be a fully realized human being with highs, lows, and just emotions in general, their brothers and sisters were free to clean up on dumb jokes non-stop. So here's a power ranking of the unsung heroes of Disney Channel, the siblings.

But before I begin, let's establish a couple of rules. First, no main characters. So sorry Zack, Cody, and Louis Stevens, but you're out from the jump. Second no cartoons. I have nothing against them, but looking at the lineup they just seemed weak in their sibling game,the proud family children we're non-verbal infants, and I didn't even remember Jake Long had a sister, until googling it. 3rd,only one sibling per show. Simply put, if you're not the best sibling on your own show, you're not worthy of this list. Let's get started.

11. Flynn Jones(Shake it Up!)

Although Flynn was funny, he was also a cautionary tale. I docked him major points, because dude got outshined by his best friend Henry. Let this be a warning to all siblings. Although the sibling is typically the funniest person on a show, the role is always up for grabs if you start slipping. Don’t be a Flynn.

10. Cameron Parks (A.N.T Farm)

On paper I relate to Cameron the most, an older brother somehow caught in the shadow of his overachieving younger siblings. But Cameron was never essential to A.N.T farm, because Olive and Fletcher did most of the heavy lifting. This was true so much so, that he was cut from the main cast during the show's final season. As much as I want to like him, I just can’t rank you that highly if Angus is viewed as a sufficient replacement.

9. Frankie Lucas (J.O.N.A.S)

J.O.N.A.S was short lived, and somehow managed to confusingly change settings in what was only it’s second and final season. As for Frankie, he was more of a novelty role player than a cornerstone of the show’s success. I mainly included Frankie on this list because he was my halloween costume one time. And by costume, I mean I drew the words "bonus Jonas" in sharpie across a white t-shirt, and then walked next to my friends who were actually dressed up as the Jonas brothers. Easiest costume of all-time.

8. Chloe James (Dog with a Blog)

Placed on this list due to sheer adorability. Also her hair is majestic.

7. Donnie Stevens (Even Stevens)

Between the Stevens Siblings, it was Ren who got most of the attention and subsequently screen time, but Donnie was unique because he’s easily the dumbest person on this list. Younger siblings had to be crafty to stay afloat, but because he was the oldest, Donnie just cared about scoring TD’s, and that’s a lifestyle I can respect.

6. Gabe Duncan (Good Luck Charlie!)

By the end of Good luck Charlie there were 5(!!!) Duncan Children, easily the most of any Disney channel show. It was Gabe who perfectly surmised the struggle of being caught in such a big family. Neither the smartest ,Teddy, The oldest, PJ, or the youngest, Gabe was forced to act out or get lost in the fray. To be honest, I never really liked Good Luck Charlie, but the Gabe vs. Mrs. Dabney feuds we’re always the best part.

5. Max/Maxine Russo (Wizards of Waverly Place)

The Wizards of Waverly Place finale was easily the tensest moment between siblings in Disney Channel history. Just watching it with my little brother and sister was hard, because we were all wondering which of us would have hypothetically won our family's wizard powers(The correct answer is me. duh.) They bend the rules, and Alex and Justin get to keep their powers, leaving Max as the only one to get screwed after holding up the show comedically for years. But this moment also perfectly captures why Max is amazing, he doesn't seem to really care. I considered bumping Max up the list, because the Maxine storyline seriously threatens his replaceability factor, but I decided against it. It was only six episodes, and who didn't love Maxine. Keep stacking those sandwiches Max.

4. Matt McGuire (Lizzie McGuire)

I know this word is overused, but the kid had swag. Although Matt certainly wasn’t above pranks, he was actually pretty good at them,unlike a lot of his counterparts on this list Matt’s #1 motivator was always his own ego. What a G. Oh and shoutout to his mute best friend Lonnie.

3. Jackson Stewart (Hannah Montana)

Couldn’t keep a best friend to save his life. In season one there was short lived token black guy Cooper, then there was Thor from Minnesota, and eventually he rounded out the #squad with the weirdest bromance of all time, his 14 year old boss Rico. There were also rumblings between my friends and I that he was secretly 30. Turns out they weren’t rumors, Jason Earles was 34 by the time the show ended. Despite all of this he still ranks high, because there is no Hannah Montana without Jackson Stewart.

2. Pim Diffy (Phil of the future)

Pim was the best. Even her name Pim is amazing. Phil of the future was an interesting show, because the whole family was crazy from top to bottom, but representing evil little sisters worldwide, it was Pim who stole the show. The little brothers on this list, collectively pulled a lot of jokes between them, but nobody was as outright evil or conniving as little sister Pim Diffy.

1. Cory Baxter(That's So Raven/ Cory in the House)

When making this list I knew there was only one sibling that deserved to be at the top and it was always going to be Cory. Cory Baxter was so good, that he starred in the only Disney Channel spinoff in the channel's history, the ultimate level of irreplaceability. My man was about two things, and two things only, his hustle and hitting on his sister’s best friend. What more do you need to know?
