10 Reasons You Are Wrong About Paramore.

Bassist Jeremy Davis announced that he would no longer be involved with the band and many non-fans find themselves pointing fingers at singer Hayley Williams. Let's show them the right way and "point them to the mirror".

1. The band has been around for a while...

Sure, you're still BFF's with your friend Jill from the second grade, but that doesn't mean you have worked with the same people for over ten years. Paramore was first formed in 2004 when Hayley Williams was only 13. In the 11 years since Members of the original lineup have had children, gotten married, and even become famous bloggers...that last fact was a joke. In that amount of time it only makes sense that not everyone is still on board. Just think, who were you hanging out with ten years ago?

2. Hayley has told you multiple times. Paramore is a band.

When a member leaves a band people like to automatically point their fingers towards the lead singer. It doesn't help that Hayley Williams has been the target of "Solo artist" accusations since close to the bands formation. What people seem to forget are the constant pleas from Hayley to recognize the group as a band. Not only is the lead singer known for wearing Shirts on stage which display this message , Hayley has also has spoken out about multiple interviews where the focus was solely on her (see above).

3. They've consistently made really good music.

Sure, the thirteen year old version of yourself really misses "Old Paramore", but any rational person is able to give credit where credit is due. After a lot of bumps along the road, Each Paramore album is more acclaimed than its last. All personal taste aside, a Grammy award winning song off of their latest album is something we can all agree is worthy of some major props.

4. Members leaving a band isn't that uncommon.

We're not trying to throw any shade here, but let's be honest, 10 years is a really long time. It only seems appropriate that after ten years a lineup would change. Some bands like One Direction lose members after just five years. Some bands like Versa cease to exist after an even shorter amount of time. Nothing is wrong with these bands, it's just that some things in the music industry go beyond just maintaining friendships.

5. Taylor York is capable of anything.

Most non fans may not even know his name despite the constant spotlight on the band being shared, but Taylor York is one hella talented man. Now being the second to last member of Paramore, It would be a shame if Taylor York's passion remained unnoticed. Writing most of the bands critically acclaimed self titled album Paramore, Taylor York helped dig the group out of a shallow grave dug by haters after the Farro brothers left in 2010. Many thinking that with their departure the band was sure to be ruined, Taylor York made sure to prove them wrong. With him and Williams songwriting, the bands latest album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200.

6. Hayley Williams of Paramore.

One of the most common versions of hate when it comes to Paramore is that lead singer Hayley's ultimate goal is to become a solo artist. As if she couldn't have done this years ago if she really wanted to ...Like many artists, Hayley has been featured on some solo tracks like Zedd's Chart topping "Stay The Night". What many seem to ignore about Williams's features is that she is always credited as Hayley Williams of Paramore. yes, Hayley Williams insists she is credited as the singer of that band she is in, that band she is in that she seems so "eager to leave"...the band that she has not left even after multiple chances of doing so...yes, that BAND.

7. There will always be a group of fans who support them.

Being a band for ten+ years can gather a lot of fans, and every single one of those fans is bound to hold some amazing memories. The ones who have cried at the shows, laughed at the videos, and even been pulled up on stage to sing along with their heroes know that this is a lot deeper than just a gossip frenzy. In a week a new crazy story will come along, people will no longer be pointing fingers...but the Parafamily will still be there to support their band.

8. Their live show is beyond words.

I am a firm believer in never being able to judge a band until seeing them live, and Paramore is a prime example of this. From performing Jaw dropping emotional rollercoasters to High kicking pop-punk b-sides, the passion each person feels up on stage is easily reflected within each and every member of the crowd. Trust me, you'll find yourself having a hard time not screaming "f*** yeah!" when you feel every sweet emotion you are supposed to feel while watching this band.

9. They've been there for you...

If you have listened to all of Paramore's tracks you have to admit that at least one song struck a chord. It's easy to find a song by Paramore that can resonate every heartbreak, accomplishment, or friendship lost. Regardless of which album it is you are listening to, you will find they all have one thing in common: Relatability.

10. And they aren't done yet

Perhaps one of the most powerful lines in the Bands latest blog post is the last paragraph which states that they aren't ready to give up just yet. Although it is said in very short words, I think it is important that we realize what this means.

Regardless of the gossip, or the drama, or the hypotheticals, Paramore is still wanting to do this. Although an easy target for hate, Hayley Williams and Taylor York aren't quite ready to hang this musical journey up. Nothing lasts forever, and it sure as hell seems like it would be an easy day to quit, but not for Paramore.

Even after the long journey is done and the bands days are over, the songs will still remain. The bands personal journey to keep on going will never be forgotten. With every song lies thousands of memories that every Paramore fan holds close to their heart. The music will live on and so will the experiences...

As for us fans? We are just happy to get another chance to sing the songs back at the top of our lungs.
