Brooklyn follows the story of an Irish immigrant's new life in New York City, where she falls in love with a local boy. To combine the two cultures we're taking an iconic dish from each and whalah...we give you "Bangers and Mash" pizza. (The delicious love child of Irish and American food). What could be better than a beer to wash down the pizza? How about an Irish car bomb!
"BANGERS and MASH" PIZZA
INGREDIENTS:
1 Flatbread Pizza Crust
1/2 cup Brown Gravy
1 cup Mashed Potatoes
1 Kielbasa Sausage link, cooked
1/2 cup Shredded Cheese (Mozzerella, White Cheddar, or Pepper Jack)
5-6 Fresh Basil leaves
RECIPE:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Place flatbread on baking sheet. Spread the gravy on the flatbread like pizza sauce.
3. Drop spoonfuls of mashed potatoes onto the pizza and spread evenly with a spoon.
4. Slice the sausage link into 1/4 inch thin circles and arrange the pieces around the pizza. Sprinkle your choice of cheese atop the sausages.
5. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
IRISH CAR BOMB
INGREDIENTS:
1 Stout Beer (Such as Guinness)
1/2 oz of Whiskey
1/2 oz of Baileys Irish Creme
RECIPE:
1. Pour beer 3/4 way into pint glass.
2. Fill shot glass with whiskey and baileys.
3.Drop the shot glass into the pint of beer and enjoy.
