    BRIDGE OF SPIES - Russian Tea Cakes and White Russian

    Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, need we say more! Warm up beside this Cold War Thriller with some delicious Russian Tea Cakes and a White Russian.

    RUSSIAN TEA CAKES

    INGREDIENTS:

    I cup All-purpose flour

    1/8 cups Brown Sugar

    1/8 cups White Sugar

    1 Pinch Cinnamon

    2 Cups Powder Sugar

    1 tsp Vanilla Extract

    1 Cup Walnuts

    1 Stick Butter

    RECIPE: Russian Tea Cakes

    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

    2. In a large bowl mix together butter, white and brown sugars until fluffy. Next mix in vanilla and cinnamon. Finally mix in ground walnuts and flour until the dough is soft.

    3. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Use ice cream scooper to scoop a ball of dough. Roll dough into balls, then place them an inch apart on baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Rotate cookies halfway to help cook them all the way through.

    4. Once cookies are cooled, roll them in powder sugar. Then enjoy with your White Russian!

    WHITE RUSSIAN

    INGREDIENTS:

    A Couple Ice Cubes

    2 oz. Coffee Liqueur

    2 oz. Vanilla Vodka

    Milk or heavy cream

    RECIPE:

    1. Fill glass with ice cubes. Add your Coffee liqueur, vodka, then top it off with your milk or heavy cream (I used coconut milk to add a little more flavor).

    GREEN DRESSING

    INGREDIENTS:

    2/3 cup Greek Yogurt

    1/3 cup Olive Oil

    1/2 tsp salt

    1 tbsp Honey

    1 Lime

    1/2 Jalapeno

    1/2 cup Cilantro

    GREEN SALAD

    INGREDIENTS:

    1 Package of salad mix

    1 Avocado

    1/2 Onion

    1 cup Grape halves

    1/2 cup Walnuts

    1/2 cup Blue Cheese

    Green Dressing

    RECIPE:

    1. Pour everything into a bowl, add dressing and toss together. Enjoy!

What could be better than a beer to wash down the pizza? How about an Irish car bomb!

    "BANGERS and MASH" PIZZA

    INGREDIENTS:

    1 Flatbread Pizza Crust

    1/2 cup Brown Gravy

    1 cup Mashed Potatoes

    1 Kielbasa Sausage link, cooked

    1/2 cup Shredded Cheese (Mozzerella, White Cheddar, or Pepper Jack)

    5-6 Fresh Basil leaves

    RECIPE:

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    2. Place flatbread on baking sheet. Spread the gravy on the flatbread like pizza sauce.

    3. Drop spoonfuls of mashed potatoes onto the pizza and spread evenly with a spoon.

    4. Slice the sausage link into 1/4 inch thin circles and arrange the pieces around the pizza. Sprinkle your choice of cheese atop the sausages.

    5. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.

    IRISH CAR BOMB

    INGREDIENTS:

    1 Stout Beer (Such as Guinness)

    1/2 oz of Whiskey

    1/2 oz of Baileys Irish Creme

    RECIPE:

    1. Pour beer 3/4 way into pint glass.

    2. Fill shot glass with whiskey and baileys.

    3.Drop the shot glass into the pint of beer and enjoy.

    INGREDIENTS:

    1 oz Vodka

    1 1/2 oz Cranberry Juice

    1/2 oz Triple Sec

    1/2 oz Lime Juice

    RECIPE:

    1. Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well.

    2. Pour into a martini glass and garnish with a lime wedge.

    THE REVENANT - Bison Burger Slider and Cabernet

    Ah, the thrill of the hunt. These Bison burger sliders are perfect for surviving in the wilderness with the Oscar hungry Leo. And of course you will need a big red wine to compliment the hunt. (No bears were harmed in the making of this meal).

    BISON BURGER SLIDER

    INGREDIENTS:

    1 lb. of Ground Bison

    Salt & Pepper

    ½ cup Sliced Onions

    2 Tbsp. Butter

    4 Tbsp. Worchester Sauce

    8 Silver Dollar Buns

    8 Tbsp. Garlic Aioli

    RECIPE:

    1. Season ground bison with salt and pepper and divide the meat into 8 patties. Heat oil in an iron skillet at medium-high heat. Place patties in the skillet and splash 2 Tbsp. of Worchester over burgers. Cook for 2 minutes per side.

    2. In another skillet, melt 2 Tbsp. of butter over medium heat. Add onions and the remaining 2 Tbsp. of Worchester. Sauté until golden brown about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    3. Cut the silver dollar buns in half and spread the garlic aioli on each half. Place a patty on each of the bottom buns and top with the caramelized onions.

    STUFFED JALAPENO POPPERS

    INGREDIENTS:

    12 Fresh Jalapenos

    1 cup Cream Cheese

    2 Tbsp. Chopped Onion

    2 cloves of Garlic, chopped

    6 strips of Bacon

    RECIPE:

    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.

    2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, onion and garlic.

    3. Cut jalapenos in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes. Fill each half with the cream cheese mixture and wrap each with a ½ slice of bacon.

    4. Place wrapped jalapenos on baking sheet and bake at 400 for 15 minutes or until bacon is crispy.

    BOSTON CREME PIE TRIFLE

    INGREDIENTS:

    1 Box Cake Mix (need oil and eggs for mix)

    1 can Chocolate Frosting

    2 boxes of Vanilla Pudding (need milk for mix)

    Mason Jars

    RECIPE:

    1. Follow recipe instructions for pudding mix, set aside in fridge to cool.

    2. Follow recipe instructions for cake mix. When finished let cool for 10 minutes.

    3. Cut cake into rounds either using mason jar or cookie cutter.

    4. Heat frosting in the microwave for 45 seconds.

    5. Start assembling your trifle, with pudding at the base, cake round, chocolate frosting, and then repeat. Repeat until you finish with chocolate on top, then top with whipped cream.

    BOSTON COFFEE

    INGREDIENTS:

    Coffee

    1 tsp Sugar

    1 oz Coffee Liqueur

    1 oz Triple Sec

    RECIPE:

    1. Pour glass half full of coffee.

    2. Add sugar, mix well.

    3. Add coffee liqueur and triple sec. To make it a little sweeter add whipped cream on top. It's Wicked Good!

    MAD MAX - Shrimp on the Barbie and Foster's Beer

    Good day mate! Originally making its debut in the late 70s, the Mad Max series follows the adventures of a drifter named Max. Good old-fashion Shrimp on the Barbie paired with the Australian classic ice cold Fosters beer only seems appropriate for this post-apocalyptic Australian set film.

    SHRIMP ON THE BARBIE

    INGREDIENTS:

    1 lb Shrimp

    24 oz. Foster's beer (Use half and drink the other half)

    1 Tbsp minced Garlic, and 2 Garlic cloves mashed

    Couple dashes of your favorite hot sauce

    Skewers (soak while shrimp marinades)

    RECIPE:

    1. Place Beer, Shrimp, and Garlic in a resealable bag. Mix well and let marinade in a fridge for at least 2 hrs.

    2. Place Shrimp on the skewers grill for 3 minutes, then flip them over for 3 more minutes. Then enjoy with the rest of your ice cold Foster's Beer, Cheers Mate!
