It's a grab bag of celebrity real estate this week, with selling and buying news about Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Diane Kruger and Chase Utley.

Honeymoon Suite For Real Modern Family

The “Modern Family” star has bought a Spanish colonial in Los Feliz that was once owned by Gwen Stefani. No doubt it will be a super private property for Ferguson and his longtime beau and newly betrothed husband, Justin Mikita, to enjoy married life.

Ferguson paid $4.55 million for the 4-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom home that’s set back off a private driveway on more than half an acre. The white stucco exterior gives way to indoor/outdoor living spaces including a pool, spa and generous patio areas overlooking the lushly landscaped yard.

Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale owned the place from 1998 until 2007, when they sold to “The 70’s Show” co-creator Mark Brazill. He sold the place in 2008, and the new owners have given the property a remodel that stays true to the home’s period-style interior design.

Ferguson owns another home in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles, but time will tell whether the newlywed comic actor will part with that property. In the meantime, Ferguson has made the leap into the Los Feliz zip code that has been luring plenty of Hollywood celebrities, including Kristen Stewart and Michael C. Hall.

Model Life Would Be in Paris

“The Bridge” star Diane Kruger has been a hit in Hollywood, but her heart belongs in Paris, so Kruger and her longtime partner Joshua Jackson have decided to split the L.A. scene – or at least sell their home at 6342 Ivarene Ave. The list price is $1.519 million.

Kruger and Jackson, who stars in the Fox hit show “Fringe,” bought the home under a trust in 2009 for $1.315 million, but listing notes and photos show the place has been revamped. The house spans 2,389 square feet with 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, a media room and downstairs guest bedroom.

In a recent interview, the former model confessed that she would like to raise her (future) kids in Paris, where she owns an apartment in the same building as designer Karl Lagerfeld.

Jackson, like Kruger, is not tied to L.A., either. His Fox TV show “Fringe” was primarily filmed in Vancouver, where the former “Dawson’s Creek” star is from.

According to property records, Kruger and Jackson bought the home under a trust in 2009 for $1.315 million. Since then, it looks like the two have done their fair share of updates, styling the home into a contemporary retreat with glossy hardwood floors, pendant lights and a chalkboard wall in the updated kitchen.

Chasing The Dream: Phillies 2B Lists Sleek Condo

Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Chase Utley’s tri-level condo at 210 W. Washington Square is on the market for $4.3 million.

The decorated infielder has a new deal that will keep him in the City of Brotherly Love for at least two more seasons, but only on the playing field. With a wife and young child, Utley has opted for a home with yard where his rescued pit bull can roam free.

The Utleys bought into the renovated Ayer building that was remodeled into condos in a big way back in 2008. They purchased a bi-level penthouse and combined it with a second apartment underneath to create a truly unique, 4-bedroom, 5-bathroom in-city home. Utley and his wife then contracted with architect Michael Ryan and interior designer Gregory Augustine to sleekly finish the 4,588-square-foot custom residence.

The condo is a calm haven from the city streets below, which can be viewed through its oversized windows. The interior is loaded with high-end finishes from the en suite bedrooms, state-of-the-art gourmet kitchen and a lower level for entertaining that is accessed by a walnut and marble-laden custom staircase.
