The 18 Stages Of Breaking Your Phone

Whoever said you can't find true love (and heartache) with an inanimate object CLEARLY never owned a phone.

    1. Phone: (noun) A beautiful hunk of metal that keeps you sane. That saves you from your mundane job. That distracts you from your boring professor. That Gives.You.Life.

    2. When you first get it, you feel like a new parent. You won't even let anyone touch it.

    3. Your relationship with it takes a turn for the unhealthy. You're so tired, and yet you still chose it over sleep any day of the week.

    4. In the beginning, you're more careful with it than you are with your grades. The mere thought of dropping it is a laughable impossibility.

    5. Buuuut....you start to get comfortable. Flinging it across your room becomes a common occurrence.

    6. But that dreaded day comes. The day where you drop it on it's face and you know you've hit the point of no return.

    7. Everything seems fine for half a second, but then you see the crack.

    8. And just like your phone, your heart too, has shattered into a million pieces.

    9. And customer service says you won't get it back for 7-12 business days.

    10. The first day without your bae is always the hardest.

    11. And you run into your crush who wondered why you never got back to him when he texted you to hang out....

    12. And your friend who said she texted you at the last second to have her tickets to the Beyonce concert...

    13. The Lord himself probably texted you a once in a life time weekend pass to heaven that you had to miss.

    14. 4 days without a phone and you start feeling like you're in the middle ages.

    15. But people constantly ask you how your 'refreshing' break from the constraints of a phone is.

    16. After a while, though, you start to get used to it.

    17. You start to realize that maybe there's more to life. You even think about taking a walk.

    18. But then you get the email saying your fixed phone was shipped back and you run to the post office so fast you give yourself whiplash.
