Romney: I Will Get Latino Voters To Vote For Me, Just Look At Puerto Rico

Declares victory, and says he's best able to attract Hispanics to the GOP.

VERNON HILLS, Ill. — Mitt Romney rejected the notion that latino voters will not vote for a Republican presidential candidate, pointing to his victory in Puerto Rico.

"Those people that don't think Latinos will vote for Republicans, need to take a look at Puerto Rico," Romney said at a town hall in parks department gymnasium, referencing his performance there and the territory's conservative governor. "Hispanic voters are going to vote for Republicans if we stand for conservative principles."

"I intend to become our nominee, and I intend to get Latinos to vote for a Republican and take back the White House," he added.
