Romney “Cheat Sheet” Was A Handkerchief, Campaign Says

ABINGTON, Va. — Mitt Romney’s campaign is shooting down a simmering online theory the Republican nominee used a “cheat sheet” in Wednesday night’s debate against President Barack Obama.
The theory — extensively documented by the liberal blog Daily Kos and picked up on the Daily Beast and elsewhere — focuses on a brief moment as Romney took the stage, pulled something out of his pocket, and put it on the podium.
But according to a Romney aide the object was simply a handkerchief, not an illicit list of zingers.
“It’s a handkerchief,” the aide said simply in response to the post.
Romney can be seen at another moment in the debate using the handkerchief.

Theyve found some very troubling things about Romney. Who are these investigators? I cant tell you that. What exactly did they find out about him? I cant tell you that either. PS. Youre Fired!

jimbol 7 months agoThis is easy to figure out. You don’t need a “cheat sheet,” if you are allowed to take notes (as Obama and Romney were). 1) Memorize your “cheat sheet,” information. This is usually a list of points that you’ve studied and numbered, so that they are easier to write down quickly, and they look familiar when they are written down. Some of you may have been taught this method for test taking. 2) Right before the test (or the debate) you look at a written copy of this information, then put it away, or leave it back stage, before the test, or the debate, or the speech. THEN, when you get out there, you immediately… 3) Copy your outline from memory to the scratch paper. The sight of your short notes on paper will help you fill in any missing blanks, almost EVERY time, if you’ve studied- and Romney did. You can make some jots and additions here and there to fill in the stuff you are hazy about, and BOOM- 4) You’ve got yourself a perfectly LEGAL “cheat sheet” to reference. Those who do not do it, are simply cheating themselves.

lynnet2 7 months agoQuestion? This debate, candidates were not given the questions in advance. So had to think on their feet. The 3rd debate is based on this same formula so if it follows, again, no advance of the questions. What historically has been the practice? Or is this an unusual format? I support all future debates where the candidates are not pre-briefed on the actual questions they’ll be answering…..

Turn BuzzFeed Politics into an open buffet of wingnut bait, then wait as the flies come pouring in from every right wing shithole across the internet. Man, the skeevy little Obama-junkies are anemic and loathsome, aren’t they? The slimy, shell-shocked Obama apologists have given the phrase “grasping at straws” a whole new meaning. From blaming it on the altitude to blaming it on racism, the scurrying little skidmark liberals simply cannot fathom the reality that their Dear Leader is a sophist hack who cannot stand up under real scrutiny and real debate. jeds2 7 months agoThey are both keeping the debate within a narrow field of discussion that diverts the public’s attention from what’s truly going on that guides the path of the government and the nation… look into things like the Bilderberg Group, Trilateral Commission, NWO/One World Government agenda, etc. The debates are superficial nonsense and neither candidate is going to favor the ordinary citizen over the insider elites who pull his strings and ensure that outsiders from 3rd Parties aren’t allowed in the discussion.
