    16 Stages Of Writing Your Dissertation

    10,000 words in a weekend? No problem!

    1. You tell yourself you're going to get an early start.

    2. So you head straight to the library and check out every book you can carry.

    3. You sit down to work, but you realize you can't possibly be productive on an empty stomach.

    4. You finally start to tackle the mountain of books you got from the library.

    5. It doesn't take long before you realize that this is going to be a lot harder than you thought.

    6. After reading an entire chapter of a book and a Wikipedia article, you obviously deserve a day off.

    7. But that day turns into a week, and you realize you're going to need to up your game.

    8. You meet with a tutor and find yourself trying to justify the lack of work you have to show them.

    9. Seeing you disheartened, your friend gives you a pep talk.

    10. And you try to remind yourself why you're doing this.

    11. So for the next few weeks, you work harder than you ever have before.

    12. You let the whole world know that you are busy and important, and you aren't to be interrupted.

    13. Much too soon, you find yourself struggling to reach the word count.

    14. Eventually you emerge from your work cave, shaking, a shell of the person you used to be.

    15. You submit your dissertation and reach unprecedented levels of smug.
