Wisconsin had a budge surplus of 121 MILLION projected for this fiscal year, and was doing well UNTIL Walker gave away more than 140 MILLION in tax breaks to try to 'lure' business from IL when they raised their business tax rate to 3%. Walker is trying to claim the state is now broke because of that $140 million and trying to get that by busting unions. What they don't mention is that a majority of unions already agreed to similar cost increases in their upcoming contracts. Cost is not an issue. Union busting is.
