Wendy Williams Breaks Down While Remembering Whitney Houston
News of Whitney Houston’s death hit Wendy hard and today on her show, she expressed her sorrow through a tear-drenched retelling of her own battle with substance abuse and the hopes and dreams she had of meeting Whitney Houston later in life when they had both sobered up.
“It’s been almost 15 years since I smoked last from a crack pipe. It’s been over 15 years since I waited at Jerome Avenue in the Bronx for my drugs. I’m not proud of the girl that I was but without being that girl I wouldn’t be the woman I am today. … There’s one thing throughout it all — my connection with Whitney — is that I wished for us both to be really sober and really aware. I knew I’d meet her one day, but I always pictured that time to be our late 50s, 60s, with her being the number one spokesperson for ‘Say No [To Drugs].’ … I just thought we would meet and we’d be sober and older.”

Wendy is a phony and a hypocrite, she is probably going for ratings or a new gig to talk about her past addiction. What she forgot or hopes that people forgot is that she berated and mocked Whitney on that phone interview years ago. She forgot that she was there before and should have called Whitney to offer support but instead she tried to make a mockery of her; what I loved about that interview is that Whitney gave her hell, good for her, BUT you would think that this would have brought her to her senses, no, she played that recording over and over for months while laughing, it was a big joke Wendy but now you cry. You need to call her family and apologize because it is too late to tell Whitney that you are sorry for making light of her struggle, the same struggle that you shared. I wonder if you will learn now that before you trash people and show a lack of empathy, you will think first that “‘There but for the grace of God go I.”
