You are all absolutely right! Nowhere in the Bible is there any justification for putting the welfare of the least among us before our own personal riches. In no way was it Jesus’ mission to tell us that wealth is dangerous, greed is corrosive, and that we are each our brother’s keeper. If Christ had one message, it was definitely that money earned by the wealthy through capital gains should be taxed at a lower rate than money earned through work by those in the middle income brackets.  On these two commandments hang the law and the prophets: First, to love a narrow, facile neo-classical interpretation of Adam Smith with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. The second, like unto it, is to blame the poor for their own misfortune ; to see through the propaganda and understand that the welfare mom down the street is not your neighbor, but that she has brought her misfortune upon herself.  Yeah, this Obama guy is totally taking Jesus’ words out of context!
