I think protesting against the radio station is better than protesting against Rush Limbaugh. It's the national syndication that allows him to spread his particular brand of bile-soaked rhetoric. Without the radio syndication, he's just a sad, hateful old man ranting on and on for hours each day.

Hate crimes are committed when the race/sexual orientation/religion/other identifying status is the motivation for the violence. A bunch of people acting like violent assholes, of any color, are only committing a hate crime if the reason behind the violence is the 'otherness' of the victims. Otherwise we're all just being assholes and somebody notices skin color later.

Just to make sure we are all clear on this, internet 'jokes' put aside… transgender people ARE their transitioned-to gender. Before you make cheap jokes about trans people, please realize that this is NOT some fly-by-night fakery, this is NOT drag, this is NOT an easy life to lead! I have had several trans friends and clients, and this is a difficult road to travel, even though the joy of feeling at home in one's own body can make waking up in the morning a little easier for trans people who have decided to undertake transition. The world is more often cruel than kind to people who are trans. Pile your insensitive jokes onto the discrimination and hatred and creeped-out stares trans people get every day. But, hey, the trans men and women I've met can handle it: they are some of the toughest, strongest people I know.

I'm guessing childeharold thinks bisexual people are all trendy fakes? Or just the famous people who have both opposite sex and same sex relationships? Apparently, all gay people childeharold knew NEVER tried straight relationships early in their lives. If one of those long suffering gay people childeharold knew had several straight relationships before they came out, or were bisexual, did that cheapen and disrespect the gay community? Are those people publicity hungry fakes? I'll take 100 'fake' bisexual celebrities over demonizing confused or socially pressured young gays and lesbians for their early relationships and ALL bisexuals for living a bisexual life.

Whenever a supposed advocate starts comparing humans to dogs, I take pause.

This is just a let's-cover-our-ass move by the company. I've had and recovered from anorexia, and these women, girls, men, and boys who want to look at this kind of stuff will find it just fine with or without these keywords. It's a business move: create this policy before something ends up on the 24 news cycle because it's a slow day. Maybe I'm feeling cynical tonight, but are we really pretending that this is preventing eating disorders?

The Hasbro story was ridiculous. Lol.
