    Calling All Music Fans As The GRAMMYs® Salute The Beatles

    After 50 years, The Beatles are more popular than ever. Shag carpet, Marimekko dresses, sunken living rooms, lava lamps and countless trends of the 60s have slipped away, yet The Beatles have remained an important and beloved part of American pop culture. As the world enters 2014, the nation is preparing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the British Invasion--not just the country but the GRAMMY® Awards and The Recording Academy, the people and the executives who set trends and determine tastes. This mega event for Beatles fans and music lovers has been dubbed "The Night That Changed America: A GRAMMY® Salute to The Beatles." Everyone, including CBS executives, is looking forward to this highly anticipated event. As you might expect, the details are all hush-hush, which can only mean that there are big surprises on the way.

    According to official news releases from GRAMMY® organizers, the tribute event will take place on Monday, January 27, 2014, the day after the GRAMMY® Awards. Diamond-level tickets and entertainment packages are now on sale at VIP Concierge and through www.TheVIPConcierge.com. The two-hour special will be taped live at the Los Angeles Convention Center and broadcast on February 9th to coincide with the exact date, time and network where the Fab Four first wowed Americans who tuned in to watch The Beatles TV debut on the "Ed Sullivan Show." Back in 1964, more than 74 million Americans tuned in to the event that is now known as "The Night That Changed America."

    Star-studded Grammy awards tickets include diamond-level floor seats in the orchestra section, collectible VIP credentials, VIP pre-party access and a private tour of the GRAMMY® museum before the show. The tribute concert will include performances from today's top artists and most dedicated Beatle fans. The song list will include all five songs that were originally performed on "The Ed Sullivan Show." Fans will have a chance to hear updated versions of "All My Lovin'," "Til There Was You," "She Loves You," "I Saw Her Standing There," and "I Want to hold Your Hand," the songs that left fans wanting more when they first aired five decades ago. At the GRAMMY® Salute to The Beatles, fans will have a chance to hear the original two mini-sets plus many other favorites that became the sound of a generation.

    Teens and tweens who screamed or fainted as the sight of The Beatles have grown up, but the music is as fresh as ever. After 50 years, band members John, Paul, George, Ringo and the band as a whole have never lost their popularity. Likewise, America hasn't lost sight of the influence and cultural phenomenon created by the boys from Liverpool. To honor the achievements of The Beatles, living and deceased, GRAMMY® organizers will be including a host of archival photos and video footage of the night and the band that changed American music forever. Celebrities and today's stars will also share their favorite Beatle memories and provide historical commentary to put the band's achievements and legacy in perspective. The Beatles claimed their first two gramophone statues in the trendsetting year of 1964 and went on to claim five more GRAMMY® awards for their work as a band. On January 27th, the concert won't be about awards, it will be about giving fans, young and old, a chance to will recapture their favorite Beatles songs and musical memories.
