Know Popular "The G.I. Joes" Characters

G.I. Joe is the famous fictional action figure character. Unlike other superheroes, G.I. Joes are the individual beings with special characters each.

G.I. Joes: The American military science fiction heroes who somehow date back to the World War I duration. Produced by the toy company, Hasbro, this line of action figures are said to be made from galvanized iron and hence the name, G.I. Joes. From being an American icon, these toys made their journey to comics and then to movies.

What makes these heroes different from any other super heroes is the fact that they are not actually super heroes...they are in fact G. I. Joes with expertise in different areas.

1. Roadblock:

Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock portrays this character in the movie. His real name in the movie is Marvin F. Hinton. Being one of the strongest members of G.I. Joe, he is able to carry a fully loaded M2 Browning machine gun as a personal weapon. This heavy gunner is a die-hard believer in his role as an American soldier and is a gourmet chef as well.

2. Storm Shadow:

Conflicted in the loyalty between Cobra (the foe), G.I. Joes and his blood brother, Snake Eyes; Storm Shadow is one of the most prominent characters in G.I. Joe series. His real name is Thomas S. Arashikage (‘Arashi’ means ‘Storm’ and ‘Kage’ means ‘shadow’). His speciality is that he moves with blinding speed, can scale the walls just with his hands and feet, and is an expert in all sorts of medieval weapons.

3. Jinx

The one of only a few G.I. Joes whose real name is a top secret. Excel in quite a many form of martial arts, Jinx was recruited by Snake Eyes, a member of the G. I. Joe team. She has also studied the seven silent forms like the ‘Eye That Pierces’, the ‘Iron Hand’ and the ‘Heart That Waits’. This tough lady is said to be in romantic relationship with her teammate Budo.

4. Snake Eyes:

Best known for his rivalry with Storm Shadow, this G.I. Joe is a deadly master of multiple martial arts. He is the one who is the resident hand-to-hand combat instructor of G.I. Joes. One of the many specialties of Snake Eyes is that he rarely relies on one set of weapons.
