This is what you hoped an American burger bar would be like
But after reading the online reviews, it seemed it was more like this:
You can't help but read the rave reviews
They don't take phone bookings, so you had to wait in line for at least half an hour on a friday night
Chur Burger is in Surry Hills, so the queue was full of territorial hipsters
Even the older patrons seemed hipster and angry
You felt your stomach started eating itself as you waited for a table. Was it a sick joke?
Eventually they called your name
The loud music inevitably forced the mood
The menu made you salivate
You wanted to try at least three different burgers but your tummy only had room for one
Ordering your food at the bar meant waiting in a second line of hipsters. Eventually you get there
Your heart skipped a beat with every meal brought out of the kitchen
Your food finally arrived
You didn't care that it was messy
The salted caramel milkshake sent you into a daze
You felt your heart clog up a bit
Still worth it
