Delaware takes hands-on learning seriously. UD astronomy students work with Whole Earth Telescope - part of a worldwide network of observatories - and The University of Delaware coordinates the WET command center, based at Mount Cuba Astronomical Observatory.

3. Our cutting-edge research changes lives

The GoBabyGo Cafe at the University of Delaware's Science, Technology and Advanced Research (STAR) Campus utilizes a harness system to enable adults with brain injuries to get vocational rehabilitation. 4. There are over 300+ Registered Student Organizations to join

Vice President Joseph R. Biden; Baltimore Ravens’ Super-Bowl-winning quarterback Joe Flacco; Gore-Tex inventor Robert Gore; and Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Susan Stroman all graduated UD.
