5. Change all light bulbs to nice bright ones. Nothing worse than having dim lighting in all the rooms (especially in winter months when the sun sets early). Yes it might cost couple of dollars extra in your bill at the end of the month but trust me it's worth it.
4. Don't like de-cluttering? Get few big boxes (from Solutions) and throw everything in them and store them in the garage or corner of basement. If you can organize and label them you're not all that lazy :) Don't have a garage? Put them in one corner and cover them with a bedsheet and put some decorations on top. Some stuff can fit under the couch or bed.
3. LYSOL WIPES! These are a lazy man's best friend. You can get them pretty cheap from Dollarama or Walmart. All you have to do is clean the kitchen counter and all your tables.
2. Don't like making the bed? If you have clothes lying around don't stuff them in the closets because buyers usually open closets. Lay them on the bed and cover with your duvet. BONUS TIP: If it looks like someone is sleeping under the duvet buyers will be quieter and won't stay in that room for long (only do this for a room you are not too proud of)
1. Febreeze till your index finger hurts. First open all the windows for a few minutes to let some fresh air in. Close the window and start "Febreezing". If you have carpeting you should Febreeze that first, it'll take a few minutes to dry up and you don't want buyers socks getting soaked.
If it took you more than 30 mins to do all that you did something wrong. And don't worry you won't have to repeat step #5 every time.
