increasing the tuition fees in the uk is one step towards the uk becoming like the US… they might as well take away the NHS - let’s really be like that hypocritical US, why not? let’s ignore the poorer masses, focus on the elite establishment. its a fucking disgrace.

Can people stop jumping to conclusions and actually learn the facts before they criticise this guy? Please do research on the Liberal Democrat’s position on tuition fees before and after their one opportunity for power in the coalition govt. we have now. Solidarity.

Education is a RIGHT. The government should NOT have the power to take it away from our students.  These are the people that will shape the future of OUR PLANET. And if only the rich can afford an education, then the WORLD will be a very bleak place where the BP’s of the future RAPE AND PILLAGE until there is nothing left. Those who say that people don’t deserve free or government supported education are gravely mistaken.  And those who exercise their right to free speech should be CONGRATULATED, not condemned. I feel nothing but sadness for those who see education as an expense, rather than an investment in the future. There’s a reason governments set up these programs in the first place, and to strip them away now is a huge step backwards.

@mattg10 Even if you disagree with state-paid education (and did he even argue for that in the video?), it’s hard to argue for detaining peaceful protesters. I am pretty sure that was his primary message/criticism in this speech…or do you think it’s okay to suppress those who disagree with you?

Obviously you all don’t know what the fuck is even going on. It isn’t that they raised the tuition, the government took the limits off the price that the schools were allowed to charge because before they’d put them in place, the schools were charging theft-worthy tuitions. Get your heads out of your fucking asses and pay attention, this shit’s important. Also, you say marxist like it’s a bad thing.

Speaking of education, let him have a turn at balancing the budget. There’s a learning experience.

So he starts out saying that his generation was expected to be too concerned with Facebook, then ends saying that a bunch of people “learned a lot” and with that new knowledge joined a Facebook group. Yays. Amazing. A few hundred people pressed a button on a computer. That is win if I ever saw it.

“WAAAAH, WE WANT OTHER PEOPLE TO PAY FOR OUR EDUCATION!!!” What a bunch of spoiled wankers. The kid is a talented speaker, but he (like most of his generation) lacks a grasp of basic economic realities. They simply believe that they are entitled to certain things that should not be in the purview of government responsibility.
