Social media ineptitude aside, I’m curious why the “your tax dollars at work” tag is considered appropriate anytimeagovernment agency does something remotely outside their pre-conceived boundaries. These pictures are akin to the posters of unlawful items you see plastered all over places like the post office. Sadly for the government, few living souls enter places like that anymore, and even fewer people stop to read things that aren’t on their phones, so this isadecent shot at getting the word out about airline safety. I’m not sure how many tax dollars went into pressing the “upload” button to Instagram, but I’m sure it wasalittle less costly than printing endless posters, signs, and fliers that no one reads. The hashtag bombing can go away, though.
