First of all, as his cousin I want to let people know that Tom served in the Army for 4 years and Marines for two, he did a tour in Vietnam in 1967, and ever since then he's been a comletely different person. Normally I would agree with the sentiment that he asked him an unsavory question. But, given his demeanor I don't think that the old man's comments could really be seen as more than snarky or just dumb… the young guy was the hot head and well…the rest is history… Call ambalamps

I'm not defending young dude's actions - picking a physical fight with an elderly person is never right. But, Beard Man totally asked him what he'd “charge for a shoe shine” which is hardly a savory question for an older white man to ask a young black stranger on a bus…or anybody for that matter. I'm just saying, I'm seeing a lot of “yea good thing that thug got beat” kind of comments here. Epic Beard Man may be epic, but his actions are inexcusable.

Funny how the loud mouth had so little to say after his blood was sprayed all over the inside of the bus.
