if this is “historically accurate” why isn't Pocahontas a little naked bald girl, and why isn't Jasmine Chinese?  I'm not really sure what to say about Ariel..
The others are rather pretty though.

OK, for those of you griping that these aren't “historically accurate,” here's a rough approximation of each period that they appear to represent: Jasmine: 1500s India
Belle: 1770s France
Snow White: Mid-1500s Germany
Pocahontas: Early 1600s America
Cinderella: 1860s France
Ariel: Late 1890s Europe

Okay, despite everyone's obsession with the potential discrepancy of the headline (possibly not historically accurate? Oh noes!), the redesigns of these characters are phenomenal and the art is incredible. I'm glad to see this gallery.

These are beautiful, but they're not historically accurate. Considering Pocahontas is an actual historical figure, I'm surprised by the depiction. In case anyone is curious, NOVA has a pretty interesting timeline of notable Pocahontas imagery here, including the only known image of her drawn from life.

This looks like it's done according to country and time era. Cinderella and Snow white are my favorites.

Just a slight twist on the clothing most of them already wore in the cartoons.
