She's 13, she's graced the cover of Sports Illustrated, she's the first girl in Little Leauge to throw a shut out, she inspired the hashtag #ThrowLikeAGirl, and she's got the confidence of a true athlete.

"I throw my curveball like Clayton Kershaw and my fastball like Mo'ne Davis."

Breanna Stewart

She just gets basketball. She's already got two consecutive National Championship wins with UConn. She has played for the US national U16-U19 teams. She's graced the cover of Sports Illustrated during the height of March Madness where they compare her to the NBA's MVP Kevin Durant. Her Freshman year at UConn she won Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four, the first freshman to win since '87. She went on to win the same award her Sophomore year.

Sam Gordon

She's out run boys older than her, she has kicked a ball around with the US women's national soccer team, and hung with 49ers Colin Kaepernick. At 9 she landed the box cover for Wheaties. Now she's 11, she's still got "Sweet Feet," and making SC Top 10 plays.

Her goal isn't even to play professional football. It's to make history another way by winning the world cup with the US national soccer team and to take home an Olympic gold medal.

As a senior in high school Bree had to have her left leg amputated making her soccer career impossible to continue. She didn't let impossible stop her.

She fought hard and earned a spot on her college team as a goalkeeper.

Now she's on her way to accomplishing one of her goals by playing for the US sitting volleyball team.

Third sting varisty QB for South Plantation High in Florida and was crowned home coming queen during half time at one of her games, Erin really makes you question "mutually exclusive gender roles." Senior year she was the recipient of Footlockers $20,000 athletic scholarship.

A Stanford Alumn, a Hermann trophy winner (the Heismen of soccer trophies), an Olympic gold medalist, and World Cup silver medalist. She was 1 of only 3 players to play every minute of the 2012 Olympics on the US women's national soccer team. At 26, O'Hara is currently signed with Under Armor, plays for New Jersey's Sky Blue FC and prepares herself for National team call ups and the upcoming 2015 Women's World Cup in Canada.

The first paid woman in professional basketball history to coach a NBA team, Hammon has secured a spot as the assistant coach to the San Antonio Spurs. After 16 years in the WNBA she now has a chance to continue inspiring, through her newly acquired team as well as young athletes around the world.

Hilary Knight

Her first year as a Wisconsin Badger she helped her team place second in the NCAA championships, the next year she led her team in points and won the NCAA championships with the Badgers. She's the first American born to win the Canadian Women's Hockey League MVP award. She was the youngest member of the national team during the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. In 2014 she scored the opening goal for the US women's national team for hockey during the Sochi Olympics where they took home a heartbreaking silver medal. She was also in the most recent ESPN body issue.

Ranked #6 in the ASP Women's World Ranking this 20 year old is redefining women's surfing. In 2009 she was the first female to preform and land an areal maneuver which led her to win the NSSA Women's Open title. At 16 Lakey was invited to compete as a wild card for the biggest surfing competition in the world where she placed runner up. With a successful documentary, "0 to 100" this young surfer is showing no signs of slowing down.

Elena Delle Donne

#2 pick in the 2013 WNBA draft, Delle Donne is the first rookie to win the WNBA All-Star fan vote. She also took home Rookie of the Year award in 2013. She is a Global Ambassador for the Special Olympics in honor of her older sister, Lizzie who suffers from Cerebral Palsy and Autism. She's been invited to play the WNBA All-Star game for two years running. Currently, her team Chicago Sky has made it to the 2014 WNBA playoffs.

She may not be a conventional athlete but she sure as hell trains like one. There are only 41 women in the FDNY and Danae Mines is among them. She's the first women ever to be featured in the FDNY annual calendar of heroes where she went up against over 100 male firefighters. A spot, she was told in the beginning was only reserved for men.
