Cinnamon Broom a year agoWhat the heck *was* Mr. T anyway? He was this strange persona that he himself invented, that showed up everywhere from wrestling, to movies, to his own TV shows, to guest spots on other TV shows, … I can’t really think of another character like that, who is always played by one guy, and exists independently of any one medium. You don’t get James Bond’s fashion show, or Batman making an appearance on a very special Punky Brewster. What *was* he? The only similar thing I can think of would be Hulk Hogan or Peewee Herman. But I think even Peewee was only Peewee on his show, right? Maybe Stephen Colbert?
