7 Reasons ObamaCare Really Sucks

I get it. Policy is lame, boring, dry, boring and yes, did I mention boring? But ObamaCare is one mother of a mess that's not going anywhere anytime soon, so we better learn how it works in all its sucky splendor.

1. It's freaking expensive

Affordable Care Act? Pssh. Lies, all lies. Insurance premiums are increasing an average of 260% as a result of Obamacare and up to 600% in some states, according to the American Action Forum.

2. No tax refund for you!

Forget that new MacBook, your tax refund is now an involuntary offering to the IRS coffers. If you don't have health insurance and you don't buy ObamaCare, the IRS will start off by taking $95 or 1% of everything you made from your tax refund, whichever is higher. But that's just the beginning. As the years progress, the IRS will take a higher percentage of your tax refund if you're without health insurance or ObamaCare. If you're too broke to buy insurance, you're getting fined! Awesome, right?

3. Virtual waiting rooms, seriously?

Go ahead, try. The feds are rationing how many users can access healthcare.gov and are placing would-be enrollees in virtual waiting rooms. It's almost impossible to sign up, but ObamaCare is going to improve health care for everyone. Riiiiiight...

4. Glitches galore

If you're one of the lucky few to actually get into the system, you'll get to experience the joy of a botched up rate calculator, security issues, countless error messages and that's just the beginning. Oh yeah and if you speak Spanish you're well, how do you say crap out of luck en Espanol? Spanish language enrollment sites still aren't ready.

5. Regulations generated by Obamacare are over 7 feet tall

Pray tell, how in the world can anyone properly enforce seven feet of federal regulations? No wonder it's turning into such a cluster. This government can't set up a website to take your information and give you a quote, but they're going to enforce this?

6. "ObamaCare for thee and not for me." - Congress

ObamaCare is so great, Congress is keeping their own plan because as Senator Durbin says, forcing people into plans that don't allow tax-exempt employer contributions is, "fundamentally unfair." House Republicans have pursued measures that would require Congress to have the same health care that they're forcing on Americans, but Senate Democrats refuse to consider the measure. Elitists. But remember they're working for you...right....

7. Employers are slashing hours faster than Freddy Krueger slashes, well...

Because ObamaCare is causing the price of health insurance to skyrocket, and any employer with 50 or more full time employees is mandated to provide the more expensive health care, employers are being forced to cut workers hours in order to avoid cutting jobs. It's killing the 40 hour work week, even the head of the Teamsters Union agrees it's terrible. Trader Joe's, Subway, Wendy's and Sea World, just to name a few, are employers that are now forced to cut hours. Even community colleges are cutting hours for their profs, making it difficult for them to earn a living. Seriously.
