1. We have the best philanthropy and volunteering won't stop after college!

Heart of Gold Brunch: Every February, we host a Heart of Gold Friday brunch to raise money for women’s cardiac care through the Alpha Phi Foundation. We open our home to all for a delicious brunch, complete with yummy treats and a “Kiss a Phi for Philanthropy” Kissing booth (on the cheek of course)! Heart of Gold Brunch is one of our favorite days of the year.

2. You get celebrities to throw up your sorority symbol.

3. PHI BALL: A Philanthropic Celebration consisting of shirtless Frat Boys pretending they're in the NBA All Star Game.

Trust me, it gets heated. Phi Ball is our annual spring philanthropy that involves a fraternity-wide basketball tournament. Every spring, we shut down the entire Greek Row, set up basketball hoops, and invite all USC fraternities to participate. We also bring in waterslides, inflatables, bounce houses, DJs, and anything else you can think of. Each Alpha Phi is assigned to a fraternity and gets to play the role of "team captain," training and coaching her team to success, even if that means breakfast burritos and donuts! Phi Ball is one of the most anticipated philanthropies every year, and this year 22 fraternities participated.

4. You can play dress up as your favorite high school stereotype when you’re feeling particularly nostalgic.

5. It is not uncommon to see several afros being sported throughout the night!

Disco Phiver: Our first invite of the year is 70’s themed. Alpha Phis and their dates love showing up in fun, glittery outfits. If all else fails: raid your parents' closet; you will be shocked to find what they held on to..

6. Sometimes you can't even remember your own phone number, but it's impossible to forget Alpha Phi's history.

Alpha Phi was the first women's fraternity in America to build and occupy its own chapter house. It was founded on October 10, 1872.

7. Wherever you go, you and your sisters throw what you know!
