gillyb 9 months agoif people think that those of us who don’t agree with this video are wrong, please ask yourselves why they tormented and filmed this poor kitten for OVER FOUR MINUTES.
maybe we wouldn’t be against it, if it were only 10-20 seconds, but they continue to bully this kitten, when in fact, we got the point after the first 10 seconds. at first i thought, wtf, then i thought, aww it’s cute, then i got angry, cos they continue and continue, and force it to actually lie in it’s food.
what i see in this kitten is fear, and that it has obviously had to fight for food, otherwise it wouldn’t react like this.
my own cat did not have a great start in life, and when we got her and she finally settled in to her forever home, she took a while to realise that our other cat was not stealing her food, and there was enough to go around, but not once did she growl or react like this lil kitty. god only knows what these people are doing to this kitty to have it react this way.

stolid 9 months agoHow shocked most of you must be to realize that attention while eating is highly recommended as a preventative measure for ‘food aggression’. Training the pet that whether another animal or child comes along to pay it wanted or unwanted attention, that there is no real threat or no need to attack. You don’t need to palm the food like this guy did but if the fear for aggression was legitimate, it would have hissed and went after the larger cat that started eating. They’re merely building tolerance and trust.
