Shelby County Schools had an unexpected winter break last week, when schools were closed 4 out of 5 days due to inclement weather. The district was prepared to open Monday but a sudden ice storm and the children of the district had a different idea.
Sleet had been falling for about an hour when the school district announced that no call had been made for classes on February 23rd. The kids weren't having it.
Finally, the district decided to close and announced via social media.
The kids showed SCS their gratitude.
Then SCS did this...
And the kids clapped back...
Thanks to the kids of SCS for the entertainment...Now go read some books!
Oh by the way SCS, the kids want you to know...
